Final Friday Thoughts... "a glimpse into my mind"

Recently, Slade Cozart let us peek into his musings at work. See "A Glimpse..." on www.cozart.org. This MAC computer won't let me make a cool link... although Apple computers are great, yada, yada...

If you are curious, or even if you're not... my mental Friday ritual is pretty much the same at the end of each work week. I'm already pumped because I get to wear tennis shoes, jeans, and my Ashworth T-shirt. I plug through the day, attempting to give it my all and finish the week well, despite being dog tired... and then, 3:20 comes around. The most beautiful bell (the 3:20 bell) in the whole world. "Bye Ms. Moore, Bye Ms. Moore.." - I notice a few kids fighting outside and don't really care at this point. I pretend not to see... and my mind automatically reverts to a few rounds of the Hallelujah Chorus! I power walk to the office to check my box one more time, mosey back to my room, straighten up, work for about an hour and try not to speed all the way home, grateful for God' s grace over another week, grateful for 2 whole days off, ready for a fat nap, thinking about wedding shower cupcakes that I need to make, but just thankful, sleepy but thankful... and still singing the Hallelujah chorus.

4 more weeks, teachers. Ryan Bebee? Carolyn Butts? Michael Stone? Am I forgetting anyone?
Seniors? Counting down? Joey Moore is about to graduate from Garland High and head to Camp Buckner and then to Master's College (Johnny Mac's school). You better believe she's counting down.. and taking like 12 AP tests (brains of the family).

Jamie, please refrain from speaking poorly about any form of Apple computer.

Thanks.

Oh, and the rest of us in the real world that don't have a summer vacation thank you for rubbing it in.

Thanks again.

I like MACS, but not this one. It acts up, just like the 5th graders.

I'm not trying to "rub it in". I can't help it that you took a glimpse into my mind. :) That was just what was in there. So sue me. :)

Well, I'm sorry, Jamie, but like I told Greg Risse, a fellow teacher reveling in thoughts of summer break, there is NO SUMMER BREAK for anyone else outside of school world. So, glad you're celebrating, but really wish I could celebrate with you! :(

No, seriously, I suppose in about 3-4 yrs, I'll be looking at "summer break" as the time that my oldest gets to be at home with me again...*sigh*...I'm feeling old right about now! hehe

Maybe since you are looking forward to all that time off, you can use it to come see your long-lost friends in little ol' Coleman...hint, hint!

Love you girl!
