Well, we are transitioning back from 2 trips to TX. The first one was for Dustin's grandfather's funeral. We were thankful to be able to fly down and be there. The second trip was our planned vacation. We drove. A lot. We stopped in OKC to visit our friends, the Gerlts, then to Lampasas where we headed out with the Butts' fam for the beach in Port Aransas, then back to Lampasas, then to Gatesville to spend time with Nana, then to Dallas to see the Moore fam and meet my friends' new adopted son, and then we hit up Siloam Springs on the way home to catch up with our friends, Tim and Meagan. It has been great to visit family and friends, but we are also glad to be back and getting into the swing of things here. For example, we have missed 4 Sundays at our church!
We are moving... again. I know, we are a bit crazy, but there were several pros to moving, both financially and having a home that is a bit more baby-friendly. We'll even be able to have a washer and dryer that doesn't demand our quarters! And a dining room! At this new apartment, we are allowed to paint! So, that's what we are currently doing, in between tutoring and unpacking and whatnot, we are getting started on cleaning and painting at the new place. The green kitchen was project #1 from last night, and we love it! Baby room is next, I think!
Speaking of, the little one ("small wonder" is Dustin's new name - although you will still catch us saying "peanut") is moving and grooving, and it's sooo fun!
Do you ever get caught up in projects? It's SO easy! We are trying to work at not starting the day hitting the ground running, so to speak? It's so easy to live as if we are independent, with no need for a heavenly Father or his help. It's easier to hop up, lace the tennis shoes and get to painting or packing, with no thought of God. It's scary. We are attempting to guard against this. Life NEVER slows down. And neither does our great need for a great God, without whom we can do nothing. And to whom, our lives must point.

Yea for moving! Sounds like things are busy, but it is good to know things are going well!
What apartment complex did you guys get in? Sad it's not Eagles Eyrie, but excited to see the new place.
I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!! For EVERYTHING...seeing your new place, getting to see the baby bump, visiting for long hours about God and life, et cetera, et cetera....
What a good reminder of how not to do projects! We haven't even got our house yet and we feel knee deep and driven to distraction. Thanks for the words of wisdom to rely on Father in all things!
