My sweet mother-in-law has been our hero this week. She drove back with Dustin from TX (he made his 3rd trip down there this summer, this time to pick up some furniture), and she has been working SO hard to help us move and make our new place a home. As I type (a break between tutoring sessions), she is painting a TREE in the baby's room! We have a woods-y theme that you can check out here, although we don't want every part of the collection, just some of it. Baby's walls are light blue, we borrowed an amazing crib from family, bought a great red-orange-fox-colored dresser (which will double as a changing table) from IKEA, and I got a sage glider on clearance from BabiesRUs. It's really coming together! So fun!
"Granna" has also scrubbed floors, moved boxes, helped me set up my kitchen, painted, cleaned, you name it. We are so appreciative. We are thinking of celebrating by putting on real clothes (we've all been living in old t-shirts/tennis shoes) and heading to see Harry Potter tonight. She heads back home tomorrow morning, which also happens to be our 3rd anniversary. These past 3 years have flown by, and I'm so thankful to be Dustin's wife.
So, pictures will come, but for now... a public THANK YOU to Granna! Me and my pregnant belly couldn't have done nearly as much without her. It's amazing that most everything is already unpacked in our new place. And, it's so home-y, thanks to her hard work and joyful help! We love you!
