Summer 'O8

Checking in from the local library, which we love by the way. It's massive.

Long time, no post. It's been a terrific summer, and we have really enjoyed our new place. It's definitely refreshing to do things that are harder to do in the school year. And to have guests, make calls, see friends, go on a few road trips, babysit, read, etc. It's been full, but in a good way. A refreshing way. And that's a good thing because the calendar tells me that after Dustin and I go away for a few days to Chicago (2nd anniversary) and then my parents and Nana come in town (yippee) and then we go to our friends' wedding, then it will be about that time. Time to put on the work clothes, set the alarm, get out the red grading pen, put up bulletin boards, plan lessons and meet 21 new 5th graders that call me Mrs. Butts.

So, I'm thankful for this much-needed break. And I'm okay with going back to school soon, but I'm glad it's not over just yet. =)

Hope everyone is doing well in blogland!

Happy Anniversary tomorrow (right?)! My niece Abby was born on the day you married Dustin. Too cool.

We have a contract on a house less than half a mile from here. We'll see!

Hope the rest of your summer is blessed:)
